Paramount Exclusive Insurance is Hiring a Claims Account Manager Near Encino, CA

Job Title: Claims Manager

Summary: Responsible for always being in constant contact with the adjuster and the insured to obtain the most current claim updates. This position is also responsible for setting up conference calls to go over claims, as well as providing claim status reports that are more in depth to the insured, and for attending meetings with the agent to visit clients or potential clients by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Checks emails from adjusters and clients.*
  • Answers phone calls.*
  • Sets up conference calls.*
  • Goes on meetings.*
  • Creates activities to track daily work flow.*
  • Creates claim status reports to document updates on claims.*
  • Calls adjusters to obtain updates on claims.*
  • Lowers reserves on claims.*
  • Prepares folders for client meetings.*
  • Uses internal system called Applied Epic.*
  • Works off of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.*

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Preferred, to have 1 year of prior experience or present relevant experience.
  • Communicate to clients and understand basic commercial claims.
  • Provide updates to clients with no grammatical errors.
  • Understand claims terminology and be able to identify the loss and provide proper guidance to the clients.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software such as Microsoft Word, spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, internet software, and Microsoft Outlook.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
